At Eagle Motors Durban, we aim to supply quality new and used automotive parts.
Because vehicle components vary and installation conditions differ, this Refunds & Returns Policy explains what is eligible for return or exchange, and under what conditions.
1. General Policy

Returns are allowed within 7 days of purchase with the original receipt.

Items must be in the same condition as sold.

Refunds are issued only after inspection of the returned item.

Electrical and electronic parts are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable.

Used parts may be eligible for exchange, not refund, depending on condition.

No returns on items damaged due to incorrect installation, misuse, or negligence.
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances (industry standard):

Electrical/ electronic parts (sensors, modules, switches, ECU/ECM, coils, radios, starters, alternators, etc.)

Parts that were fitted, modified, tampered with, or opened

Special-order / sourced-on-request parts

Cut/trimmed components (hoses, pipes, cables, wiring)

Items damaged after leaving our premises

Used oils, fluids, or chemicals
3. Conditions for Returns
To qualify for a return, you must ensure:

The item is unused and in the same condition as received.

Original invoice is provided.
-
Packaging, labels, and serial numbers are intact.

The part has not been installed or attempted to be installed.

The part is correct for your vehicle — the buyer is responsible for confirming compatibility before purchase unless the fitment was confirmed by our staff in writing.
4. Warranty / Guarantee
Used Parts (Second-Hand)

Used parts carry a start-up guarantee only, unless stated otherwise.

Start-up guarantee means the part must work when the vehicle is started the first time after installation.

Warranty does not cover wear-and-tear or long-term performance.
New Parts
-
New parts follow the manufacturer or supplier warranty (where applicable).

Warranty is void if:

The part was installed incorrectly
-
The part was damaged due to overheating, lack of lubrication, poor maintenance, or other external factors
-
The vehicle has underlying faults causing failure
-
5. Refunds vs. Exchanges
Refunds

Issued only if a replacement is unavailable and the return meets policy conditions.

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.
Exchanges
-
Preferred where possible.
-
If the correct part is available, it will be exchanged.
-
If not available, a credit or refund may be offered at our discretion.
6. Incorrect or Defective Items
If we supplied the wrong item or the part is defective before installation, we will:

Replace the part (preferred), or
-
Offer store credit, or
-
Provide a refund if no replacement exists
Defective items will be tested before approval.
7. Fitment & Installation
Eagle Motors Durban is not liable for:

Labour costs
-
Towing
-
Diagnostic fees
-
Fitment centre charges
-
Vehicle damage caused during installation or removal
We strongly recommend professional installation.
8. Special Orders / Sourced Parts
Parts specifically ordered or sourced for a customer cannot be returned or refunded, unless the supplier accepts a return (rare).
A handling/return fee may apply.
9. POPIA & Records
All return requests require proof of purchase and ID to prevent fraud.
Customer information is handled according to our Privacy Policy and POPIA regulations.
